Back to the rain, and it is bucketing it down.
We drive for a while. The best thing to do in the rain. We headed to an old mine that I found on visit Norway the official site, but the mine was deserted, and we had the place to ourselves.

After exploring the surface part, we headed off on a walk through extremely boggy terrain. We found the two mine workings on the 5km route. The first one we were able to walk into 15m or so into the mountain before it turned off, and we decided not to go any deeper.

We continued to trudge through extremely boggy but beautiful terrain.

The second mine entrance was running with water, so we did not attempt to enter.

Back to the van on the way, we saw a lump of rusty mettle, which looked like it may have been a bomb. The allies bombed the mine in the second world war as it was producing millybdenum use in a steel hardening process for armaments.

After we looked around, we drove on towards Rjukan and found a lovely lake side pull in to spend the night.
