Day 5 Norway

This morning, we explored the island we had stayed at it was a lovely walk through the woods, finding German bunkers for the Kristansan defences.

The views were amazing sun, and the sea. We walked for a few hours then needed to get on the road heading for Stavanger.

Let’s take the motorway. we thought 3 junctions in, and it was closed as we neared the closure. We could see why, it hadn’t been built yet. They were still carving their way through a hillside.

We trundled on stopping every so often to stretch our legs. We finally found some water for the van, getting it from a garage. We have learnt a lot so far. Getting water has been harder than expected.

The views on the road have been stunning as we have wound our way up the coast.

Final stop of the day we found a working farm museum closed as it was quite late but interesting non the less complete with robot lawnmower. There was an interesting wind mill set up. Sailes mounted to a couple of pillers then a shaft running off to the barn.

We found a big park up with 2 other motorhomes. One Spanish one German and had a peaceful evening.
